The Duende is closer to a “traditional” frame than our other models. While not quite as stiff as the Round, Mxxxxxo, or Responsorium, Duende is well-suited for someone seeking a swift, highly capable, and comfortable road bike for local loops, extended sessions, and weekend group rides. The tubing – Columbus ZONA – is still “oversized”, but with its traditional, tapering rear stays and more conventional dropouts, Duende’s aesthetic is more classic than esoteric.
One of the more recent iterations for the Duende line is disc brake support. To support the disc standard, we created a brand new dropout, as pictured above. As with our other disc-equipped framesets, the Duende accepts up to 32mm tyres. Of course, the 28mm clearance remains the same for the rim version.
‘Duende’ refers to a heightened state of emotion typically associated with flamenco. However, it’s an energy that appears whenever someone does something they love, like cycling.
