The Marcelo (also known as the MXXXXXO) is an excellent choice for stronger or larger riders and those who prize stiffness, responsiveness, and a racing pedigree. Naturally, the Marcelo is also a comfortable ride, but it does give up some of that comfort to the Responsorium. In many ways, Marcelo is a close cousin to the Round; both share characteristics that serve them well on the race course, with the same sense of immediate speed and knife-like handling.

The Marcelo is constructed of heat-treated Columbus LIFE tubing. The front triangle uses the same tubing diameters as the Responsorium, whereas the rear triangle has slightly larger cylindrical seat stays, which offer greater stiffness and responsiveness. Pegoretti hooded dropouts and a D11 headset complete the frame.

Originally named by Dario after his father, the Marcelo remains one of Officina’s most popular and beloved frames. With five letters redacted, the name does double duty as a graphic on the frame itself and takes on a life of its own.
